Borup Folk High School project

We participated in the program called COme 2gether which was a project during the climate conference in Copenhagen organised by a youth group, in December 2009, we participated in the knowledge sharing and networking at Borups Folk High School, situated in the center of Copenhagen. Here we had the opportunity to give a presentation about our climate change project Baobab

Café Retro project

We had a presentation and an exhibition about the Baobab travelling exhibition in this cafeteria in the center of Copenhagen under the Cop15 Climate Conference.

August 12 - 17 Sziget Festival - Budapest

SZIGET Festival (Budapest) aug 12-17

Sziget Festival is one of the biggest open air music festival in Europe. We set up our Baobab tree exhibition in the the corner of the Festival for Museums and artistic project. We worked all festival day long from 10 am until 18pm to give information about our project and show them our exhibition and additionally we collaborated int he recycling of the garbage ont he Festival.

Around 380,000 visitors are coming to Sziget.

SZIN Festival (Szeged) 26-29 August

The Youth Days of Szeged (Szegedi Ifjúsági Napok, SZIN Festival) was founded in 1968, and at this time this was the only youth festival in Hungary. The exact location of the festival is a camping ground at Újszegedi Partfürdő. The 13 hectare area sits a five minute stroll from Szeged city center, on the sandy beach of the River Tisza.

This festival was granted with a cerzfication of a green festival by the Hungarian Environmental Minister because of approaches to grenen the festival with recycling, promoing bycicles and organising green programmes. We participated int he corner of the civic and green project corner on the festival with our Baobab exhibition.

Approximately 10 000 people visited the festival in 4 days in 2009.

VIDOR Festival (Nyíregyháza) aug 30 - szept 4

This is the biggest open air free worldmusic festival in Central-Eastern Europe. It is organised in the town of Nyíregyháza. This is a world music and theather festival located in the teathers and on streets with programmes.

Our Baobab was set up int he city centers square.

Around 150 000 people visited this festival.
