Messzelátó Egyesület

Egy kicsit komolyabb tema: Egy szokas rabjava valtam, ami egyre idegesitobb lehet masok szamara. Amikor talalkozom valakivel, mindig megkerdezem, hogy hany gyereke van, illetve mennyit szeretne (a gyerekeket meg a testverei szamarol kerdezem). Az elejen meg ovatos voltam, eloszor a munkajarol, lakohelyerol kerdezgettem oket, illetve meseltem magamrol, de egyre inkabb elore veszem a fenti kerdest, mert az erdekel leginkabb. Felek, hogy elobb-utobb eljutok a "Hello, hany gyereked van?" formulahoz.

Szoval hogy is kerultem ide?

A gyerekek vizsgaznak a heten, ezert nem tanitunk, hanem felugyeljuk a vizsgat es javitjuk a dolgozatokat. A vizsga egesz erdekes: mivel minden kerdes angolul van, amibol eleg gyengen allnak a gyerekek, a legtobb feladatot el kell magyarazni nekik. A tanarok ezt neha tulzasba is viszik es a valaszt is megmondjak, de ez csak nehany gyereknek segit, akik le tudjak irni, amit a tanar mond. A feladatok egyebkent elegge helyiek: egyszer ezt a ket mondatot kellett osszeilleszteni (a "mikor" szo segitsegevel): "Reggel mentem az iskolaba. Lattam egy halott fiut az uton".

Megint itt vagyok, ezuttal magyarul. Jojjon nehany szo a projektrol. Az iskolaval az a baj, hogy keves a tanar, akik nem motivaltak es nincs szevezettseg. 5 osztalyterem van, az ovodai harom csoportot, valamint az altalanos iskola also 2 osztalyat (P1 es P2) legtobbszor osszevonjak, es van meg a P3, P4 es P5. P4 es P5 osztalyokban 5-5 fo van, gyakran oket is osszevonjak. 3 tanar van, plusz Vincent, az igazgato, de o mashol is tanit, illetve gyakran mast csinal. Es meg vagyunk harman onkentesek. A gyerekek P3 alatt szinte nem is beszelnek angolul, de a P3-P5 osztalyokban is eleg gyengek.

On Friday we visited another primary school in order to have some view about their education. It was 100 km away from Kampala, in a very rural area. Maybe that's why we were accepted as stars. When we arrived, the 200 children composed two walls and we walked through between them when they were clapping. Later we had to sit in some big chair (like thrones) and the students made a 1 hour show with dances and singing. Finally we could not see the lessons, though that was the main aim to visit the school. Later we had a very good lunch and visited a pineapple farm.

We are going to travel this weekend, and which is even better, we are invited for a wedding. We will visit the source of Nile, and maybe go rafting in the white Nile. Everything is quite ok, the annoying thing that it gets dark at 7, and then it is hard to do anything, because the light is quite weak.

Az iskolaigazgato hazaban lakunk, Daniellel kozos szobaban. Van meg ket szoba, egyikben a hazigazda lakik a felesegevel, a masikban az 5 gyerek. Van meg egy hall, egy etkezo es egy konyha, ahol elokeszitik az etelt es mosogatnak. Egy kulso epuletben foznek, egyfajta tabortuzon (az edenyeket a tuzet korbevevo kovekre teszik). A haz egesz jo, a falak vakoltak (bar eleg koszosak), de a teto alatt nincs plafon. Nincs sok bogar, cask nehany csotany (a kollegiumban tobb volt), szerencsere foleg a kisebbek.

The internet is quite slow here, so I have to be short. The weather is very nice, much better than in Hungary. Usually it is around 28 C, in the morning around 18, I have to put on a pullover then. There are almost no mosquitos, other insects are rare, too. There are some big cockroaches, but they do not bother us. We sleep in one room with Daniel - my German tandem, which has not door but a curtain. Only the smallest children come to the room sometimes, so we have some privacy.
