The volunteer or the sending organization sends the CV of the volunteer to the chosen organizations, whose projects the volunteer prefers. Then these hosting organization choose - according to their preferences - the adequate volunteer. It is worth sending the CVs to at least 20 places, because there is significant over-application to many of the projects. After the selection of the volunteers the sending or the hosting organization submits the application to the national agency, where it will be considered during 1,5 month (you can apply 5 times per year). usually projects are only rejected due to formal problems. The minimum 2, maximum 12-month-long project can earliest start 3 months after the submission of the application. The duration of the project depends on the hosting organization.
The sending organization is most of the time civil societies, municipalities, schools or even churches. Our organization, the Messzelato association is a sending organization, which has already sent many volunteers to various countries.
