I'm Adam Young and I'm from Chesterfield, a market town in Derbyshire. I studied Countryside Management at Aberystwyth University and graduated in 2006. Since then I'd been working to earn money, but not in a job related to my degree.

I was stuck in a cycle... I didn't have enough work experience to get a job I wanted, but I couldn't build up any work experience as no-one would employ me. I saw EVS as a perfect way to gain experience working for an environmental organisation, and as an opportunity to live abroad for 3 months!

So far it has been a great experience and has allowed me to meet many different people and see places I would never normally have had the chance to visit.
