Messzelátó Egyesület

I'm here for the summer of 2007 from Boston. I have been interested in environmental activism and nature conservation for a long time but have never gotten deeply involved. This summer I decided to travel to Europe for the first time, and I felt that this was a good setting for me to focus on an interest that I have not pursued before. I came to Budapest with Central European University's Summer Internship Program, which connects students with NGO's in Budapest. CEU set me up with Messzelato and I began volunteering here as soon as I arrived. I have enjoyed working here on the nature trails and helping with various projects organized by Greenpeace and other NGO's. I think that Messzelato is doing a great job promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle and I am glad to be spending my summer working for a good cause.
